Sharing the Wealth: 12/13/2013

I have so much more to catch up on, but decided to go ahead and throw these out there. It’s a few weeks behind, but still great info.

Indies Unlimited interviews Victoria Strauss of Writers Beware. Hands down, there is no one else better to look at when avoiding scams.

The Passive Voice posted a comment made on Lindsay Buroker’s blog from a reader who was flagged for returning too many ebooks. Anyone who sells on Amazon knows what it’s like to have book returned, good to see that Amazon really does flag people who abuse that system.

The Book Designer discusses why authors must self-publish. Because the world is changing, and it wasn’t easy to begin with.

Joanna Penn recaps the publishing industry for her five year anniversary. Sorry I missed that, but she does a good job of summarizing how things have changed in the past few years.

Digital book world has a three part series on publishing. It compares motivation, rate of publishing, and earnings by type of publishing. Interestingly enough, hybrids really seem to be at the peak all the way around.
