Sharing the Wealth: 10/25/2013

Yeah…very late this week. Sorry!

Joanna Penn has a post on how to make book covers in Word. I usually read something before I share it, but I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet and what I did read kinda blew my mind without being able to walk through Word while it was happening. Good info though.

Lindsay Buroker discusses various pricing tactics. She has some of the best information, strategies, and logic for pricing books.

Scott Williams (via Passive Voice) discusses how the ebook gold rush is over, and why that’s a good thing for the dedicated writer. Writing is a long haul endeavor. It’s about creating a portfolio of work.

ALLi (The Alliance of Independent Authors) responds to the KOBO debacle.

Suw Charman-Anderson (Via Passive Voice) discusses Disruption in the publishing industry. Particularly telling is that only 9% of organizations survive the disruption of their industries.

Have a great remainder of the weekend!
