Writer’s Beware (which if you aren’t reading everything the post, you should) discusses Writers & Artists’ new guide on self publishing. Basically, it’s just a database to assign you to all kinds of self publishing services and does nothing to vet them.

Brandilyn Collins (Via the Passive Voice) discusses going indy. A lot of people assume an author self published because they couldn’t get a contract. That’s true, a lot, but it’s not the whole picture. Some just recognize a better deal.

Jane Friedman at VQR asks if self-publishing is the most important transformation in the publishing industry.
