Happy New Year! We survived 2012 and all the usual crap. We can finally put the Mayan apocalypse behind us and wait for the next end of the world.
I finished the first book, completing a second draft that is thirty five thousand words longer than the last. I am preparing it to go to the readers, but is for all intensive purposes done. Which is good because I can no longer stand the sight of it. At this point, I don’t even want to think about it. I know I’ll probably have to work on it again, but it is time to move to something new.
Which brings me to my resolutions for this year. Last year, I wanted to write a book and finally finish a story. I have pretty much done that. Now I want to get that one published, and finish the second one. I need to be creating new material while doing everything with the first. I also want to try and work on something on the side, something outside of the universe I’ve been writing in. Try new things, etc.
I’ve ingested a ton of information about publishing, but this isn’t the post. In fact, no one post will do. I’ll cover that next time though.
